Confocal photomicrograph of mouse hatching blastocyst stained for apoptosis (? 400, original magnification). The embryo is labeled with bisbenzimide, terminal deoxynucleotide transferase (TdT)?mediated deoxyuridine triphosphate (dUTP)?biotin nick end?labeling (fluorescein isothiocyanate), and propidium iodide.
