Hi,
I have a patent of 36 years old. She is having secondary infertility for the past 12 years. She conceived spontaneously only once in 1998 and later on she became infertile. She is having regular menstural cycle. Her BMI is around 27. She had 8 cycles of ovulation induction with CC. and 4 cycles with CC and HMG combined. She had laparoscopy/laparotomy in which it was found the she has tubal adhesions. So apparently she is having infertility due to tubal factor. Which down regulation protocol shall be suitable for her Long protocol or Short/Flare protocol? |

Best protocol

"I think the best protocol in this case is long protocol as it is time tested and proved beneficial around the globe. Only limiting question is age, but still considering the other factors i will still go for the long protocol"

Ideal stimulation protocol

"Hi,
It is obvious the patient has tubal pathology and so only IVF and ICSI to be tried. She was fertile before but for the tubes, and so her functional hormones are to be investigated and corrected if any. The short protocol with Rec. FSH and little HMG and with Antagonist seems to be a better option. Day 9 and 11 check her E2 levels and moniter closely. All the best."
