BlastThaw

Intended use
BlastThaw is for thawing blastocysts frozen using BlastFreezeTM (Cat. No. 10532010)

Background
Cryopreservation of surplus embryos serves to augment the success of assisted conception treatments for infertile couples.

BlastThaw is supplied as ready-to-use solutions prepared with sucrose designed for thawing of human blastocysts frozen using BlastFreeze (Cat. No. 1053). The protocol is a modification of the published recommendations:

Y. M?n?zo (1996). In proceedings of ASRM, Boston, USA, P006 and

A. Veiga & Y. M?n?zo (1997). In proceedings of the 10th World Congress of in Vitro Fertilization and Assisted Reproduction, Vancouver, Canada, pp. 49-53.

The protocol has been proven in daily clinical practice at the University Medical Centre, Ljublijana, Slovenia since 1995.
