Question:
How to avoid having blood or mucus on chateter after performing ET? Thanks in advance

Before doing an embryo transfer you can do a trial transfer during stimulation when drugs are given. The advantages of trial transfer are: 1) You can know the distance between cervix to fundus. 2) During the transfer do it guided by ultrasound. Here your advantage is that you can see the catheter through out the path (do it with a full bladder of urine). place it before 1-2cm of fundus.

I think you can solve your problem.

It might not be entirely possible but what i do is to initialy suck out the mucous, if copious, from the cervix with an IUI catheter before transfer. If you have an idea of the uterine depth you should be able to avoid hitting the fundus and thus reduce bleeding.
