Granted by the Association of Clinical Embryologists (ACE) Training Committee and the Institute of Biology (IOB).

A theory based qualification appropriate for experienced embryologists.

Completion of the Certificate is expected to take 2 years.

Usual route of entry will be after obtaining the Certificate in Clinical Embryology.

Can be exempted from Certificate based on experience and qualifications.

Will need a Supervisor with at least 4 years experience, who may well be ?off site?, and an appointed ACE Assessor who will organise marking of Assignments and provide feedback and guidance to the candidate.

Required to write 3 Assignments (5000 words) and to do a small research project which can be bench based or analysis of data.

Exemption from the research project based on previous work, (e.g. MSc or PhD), may be granted by the Training Committee upon application.

The final examination will be set from an extensive syllabus.
