Infertility consultancy launches educational outreach program to help potential Egg Donors and Surrogates with questions and the decision-making process

Grayson, GA (PR Web) September 3, 2010—A lack of readily available, no-cost information has prompted Family Acuity, an infertility consultancy assisting individuals and couples with family building services throughout the US, to launch a free community-oriented counseling service for those interested in becoming Egg Donors and Surrogates.

“There are a lot of advertisements out there inviting women to egg donation and surrogacy without giving the full spectrum of details,” says Family Acuity’s Co-Founder Eloise Drane, a multiple-time Egg Donor and Surrogate who knows the ins-and-outs of the ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) process very well. “While we definitely want to encourage people to take part in the joys of giving through egg donation and surrogacy, it concerns us when we see women get involved in ART giving without truly understanding the physical and emotional aspects involved—and options available to them—at the outset.”

That’s why Family Acuity launched its new educational outreach program—to give women a neutral, no-obligation outlet for evaluating the pluses and minuses. “Many agencies offer free consulting, but only after signing-up with them,” notes Drane. “Our goal is to help broaden a woman’s choices by providing education on how to find a reputable agency early in the process.”
