News: New 'infertility molecule' found
Scientists from the US have discovered an 'infertility molecule' that affects whether embryos implant in the womb. Working on mice, the scientists have found that females lacking the molecule, known as a lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptor, have difficulty conceiving.

News: New rules for gay sperm donors to be introduced in US
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is introducing new rules about who can donate sperm. Men that have had homosexual sex within the five years prior to them wanting to make an anonymous sperm donation will be prevented from doing so, as the FDA says that gay men are collectively more likely to be HIV-positive than other men.

A lesbian couple are planning to use IVF to create a 'shared baby', the UK press has reported. Hayley Marlow and Vicky Hill want to have one of Ms Hill's eggs fertilised, using donor sperm, but to then implant any resulting embryo into Ms Marlow's womb.
