'Standardizing Semen Analysis: WHO 2010 criteria'

Semen analysis is the cornerstone of infertility Management. Sadly, it is also the most neglected. While advances such as ICSI have revolutionaized management of infertility, we have realized that sperm morphology has an important bearing on success rates.
WHO has revised its criteria for semen analysis in 2010. The new criteria are more evidence based and reflect the fertility potential of the male more accurately.THis workshop is an effort to train the infertility specialists,embryologists and biologists in the WHO 2010 criteria.
The lead trainer is Dr. Daniel Franken, eminent researcher from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He has trained numerous people across the globe in the performance of semen analysis by the WHO standards.
It is a competency based hands on workshop, with one microscope per candidate .
it will be held on 27 and 28 October 2012 at the Reproductive Medicine Unit, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore, Madhya Pradesh ( INDIA)
The course fees is Rs. 10,000/- and includes the course charges, study material, stay for one night and two days in three start hotel, transfers to airport and hotel.


Requirements:
Minimum one year experience in andrology. Only medical graduates, graduates in life sciences can apply.
