First as a hospital providing service for obstetrics and gynaecology as well as general cases. In 1995 the Fertility centre was established and in October of the same year the first IVF baby was born. Our fertility centre is composed of the following members. Doctors: Dr. Joseph Mainoo (Medical director) Dr. Morris Antonio, Dr. Philip Aning Kuffour. Embryologist: Dickson Mawusi (senior embryologist) Benjamin Minneaux. Many leave the centre with fulfilled dreams. .Our Goal is personalized quality care Your treatment will be monitored from beginning to end by the Pro-Vita team. Our attention to detail, coupled with innovation in the treatment of infertility allows you access to a high quality program that will work closely with you to help you achieve your dream of parenthood. We offer the latest treatment protocols for all types of infertility. We are available to our patients from Monday to Fridays (8:00am – 4:00pm). The duration of the treatment is on average 8-10 weeks but will depend on the patient history. If your own fertility and that of your partner is normal, there will be roughly a 1 in 3 chance of becoming pregnant as a result as of uncontracepted intercourse during the fertile phase of each cycle. Those women who do become pregnant with out any assistance generally do so within 2 years of trying, 80% conceiving during the first year. Those who do not get pregnant after two years of uncontracepted intercourse may contact us for treatment. Infertility is a problem of a couple and not a problem of women alone. We advise couples to come together if possible in order to save time. Couples may come after five days of abstaining from sexual intercourse
