Question:
I have a Planer cell freezer. What type of "goblet" do labs use to put their straws in when freezing. Also, how many straws do you put per "goblet" so you can seed quickly. Do you seed both the upper and lower columns of media--above and below the embryo column?

"The number of straws you would put in the goblet has a lot of variables, for example the size straws being used, how tightly packed the straws are etc and has an effect on the airflow and temperature accuracy of the straw.
We suggest to use the 3 or 4 place straw holders which are provided with the freezer because there is better circulation of cooling around the sample ensuring absolute accuracy of temperature. These straw holders are also available to order should you have misplaced them or require any more.
