In association with Andrology Forum India. The symposium will be preceded by Workshops on Micromanipulation of Gametes and one day Clinical Andrology Course with Video Demonstrations.
For physicians and biologists who wish to learn more about Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and Laser Assisted Hatching, we offer them a week long hands-on training course (August 21-25th, 2006).
Our course includes handling of oocytes for ICSI, assessment of spindle and
relevant micromanipulation procedures, such as ICSI and assisted hatching using Saturn Laser System and spindle view. Ample number of Mouse/hamster oocytes for hands-on practice.
Vitrification is a cryopreservation method that has been successfully applied to human blastocysts using electron microscope grids, cryoloops, open plastic straws and closed plastic straws. During vitrification, water does not form ice crystals but solidifies into a glassy state. Experience yourself the The McGill Cryoleaf? - a vitrification & storage device with greatly improved handling, making it very easy to load and store oocytes or embryos. Safety during storage has been improved, as the oocytes or embryos are double protected from stress and contamination through a closed cover system.
Unexplained infertility accounts for about 20% of infertility problems. DNA damage is believed to be one of the major causes behind it. Acridine orange and TUNEL based DNA fragmentation assays are revolutionizing sperm function tests in ART programmes. This workshop will be a golden opportunity to learn these techniques.
