It all began in early 2005 when Canberra Fertility Centre (CFC) first engaged Computer Frameworks to carry out a feasibility study of the Medicare online claiming system (ECLIPSE) which subsequently led to the development of a customised claiming system incorporating bulk billing claims. Since this initial development, CFC has seen Computer Frameworks evolve as a trusted IT partner who is able to provide quality customised solutions and who understands CFC’s business and their patients.

It was important that the solutions developed take into account the needs of CFC’s patients due to the life-changing decisions being made. As the relationship grew, Computer Frameworks was engaged to develop more disparate systems for CFC, including an electronic transmission system, developed to provide a mechanism for the distribution of reports to the doctors.

Next, a dispensing of medication system was developed to control the medications required by CFC patients. This incorporated an inventory system to maintain and report on the stock levels and keep track of the medications dispensed.

Computer Frameworks next project was to develop a Treatment Plan system to manage patients’ treatments by linking specific procedures to treatment plans and reporting unassigned or unreviewed plans.

Since then Computer Frameworks has developed an Ultrasound Booking system to effectively manage and schedule patients ultrasound appointments, and is currently working on developing a diary management system, which conducts automated checking of dependent activities prior to allowing bookings to be made.

This 10 year partnership continues in 2015 as Computer Frameworks is currently constructing a website that will enable both doctors and patients to view information relevant to their current treatment. As an example, doctors will be able to view and update treatment plans and the patients will be able to view test results and any special instructions pertaining to their treatment. This will be particularly helpful to patients who do not reside close to the Canberra Fertility Centre and are unable to attend as regularly as local patients.

Since 2004, Computer Frameworks has worked in the Health and Medical Industry creating software solutions that improve client efficiency and productivity reduce errors and enable the development of improved business procedures. These solutions have been achieved through custom builds or software products such as Cryoworks or The Online Claimer.

John Spao, MD of Computer Frameworks has a great passion for providing personalised service and creating solutions that help organisations run more efficiently, and is very proud that Computer Frameworks continues to have such a successful partnership with Canberra Fertility Centre.
